Biden Administration Announces New Actions To Expand U.S. Offsore Wind Energy

The Biden Administration is launching coordinated actions to develop new floating offshore wind platforms, an emerging clean energy technology that will help the United States lead on offshore wind.

Initiatives on Floating Offshore Wind, launched by Departments of Energy, Interior, Commerce, and Transportation, aim to deploy 15 GW of floating offshore wind capacity by 2035, power 5 million homes through this source of energy, and lower costs 70 percent by 2035.
