Stocks have moved sharply higher over the course of the trading day on Wednesday, regaining ground following recent weakness. The Dow and the S&P 500 are bouncing well off their lowest levels since late 2020.
The major averages have seen further upside in recent trading, reaching new highs for the session. The Dow is up 461.89 points or 1.6 percent at 29,596.88, the Nasdaq is up 154.48 points or 1.4 percent at 10,983.96 and the S&P 500 is up 57.31 points or 1.6 percent at 3,704.60.
