After moving sharply lower early in the session, stocks have seen further downside over the course of the trading day on Friday. The major averages are extending the pullback seen over the two previous sessions, further offsetting the strong recovery rally to the start the week.
Currently, the major averages are just off their worst levels of the day. The Dow is down 550.13 points or 1.8 percent at 29,376.81, the Nasdaq is down 381.06 points or 3.4 percent at 10,692.25 and the S&P 500 is down 92.52 points or 2.5 percent at 3,652.00.
