Luxury fashion house Balenciaga has reportedly ended its business relationship with Kanye West.
"Balenciaga has no longer any relationship nor any plans for future projects related to this artist," said Kering, the fashion house's parent company, according to Billboard.
Although Kering did not reveal the reason behind its decision, the statement follows West's recent anti-Semitic comments on social media and in interviews.
When Bloomberg reached out to the rapper, he responded to the publication via text message, saying, "God runs the world. We perform only for God. We serve only God. God bless."
The French fashion house had featured Ye in its Summer 2023 show during Paris Fashion Week on October 2. The rapper opened the event wearing a black hoodie, oversized security jacket, baggy moto pants, a baseball cap, as well as a mouth guard featuring the brand's name.
Last month, Kanye terminated his contract between his fashion brand Yeezy and Gap Inc. Gap allegedly failed to meet its obligations in the companies' agreement, which includes distributing Yeezy products in its stores by the second half of 2021 and creating dedicated Yeezy Gap stores.
