BTS' Jin recently released his highly anticipated solo single "The Astronaut" and an accompanying music video.
Jin and Coldplay co-wrote "The Astronaut," and the song's rock sound proves a perfect fit for Jin's soothing vocals.
"When I'm with you, there is no one else / I get heaven to myself," Jin sings in the chorus, his voice gentle but glittering with gratitude.
"You and me / Like a star that doesn't shatter," Jin sings in tribute to the strength of his relationship. "Just as the Milky Way shines upon the darkest roads / You were shining towards me," he goes on. "The only light found in the darkness / On my path to you."
The video shows an alien navigating Earth and calling it his home after experiencing moments of wonder and joy throughout the journey. The visual also features special cameos of Jin's Coldplay collaborators and shout outs to ARMY.
In a statement, Jin confirmed that due to his "fondness for his fans, ARMY, the song is meant to be a gift for the fans."
