Legendary country singer Dolly Parton has been inducted into Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Parton closed out the induction ceremony Saturday night with a new original song titled "Rockin'."
"I want to thank the Hall of Fame and all the people out there through all of these years," she said. "I've been doing it all my life and I do love it. I'm very humbled by this."
She wore a leather outfit during the electric performance of "Rockin'." "And you thought I couldn't rock!" she exclaimed.
Parton told Pollstar that she'd written "Rockin'" specifically to sing in Los Angeles, saying, "It's a fine little song, and it's real rock-y, so I'll have something fun to play off of, to ease some of the tension."
P!nk had the honor of inducting Parton, praising her "heartbreaking and soul-stirring songs."
"There are few finer songwriters, male or female, that ever lived," P!nk added. "She writes about things that other would prefer to be swept under the rug."
In addition to Parton, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees included Eminem, Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo, Duran Duran, Eurythmics, Lionel Richie and Carly Simon.
Judas Priest and Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis also joined the Rock Hall with the "award for musical excellence."
