Weezer recently released "I Want A Dog," the lead single from SZNZ: Winter, the latest in a series of four EPs that began with the release of SZNZ: Spring in March.
SZNZ: Winter, the final EP in the series, is due to arrive on December 21.
A release describes SZNZ: Winter as "a stripped-back, acoustic-leaning body of work [that] encompasses the harrowing sadness that can so easily pair with the winter months."
"I Want A Dog," which begins as a demure acoustic composition, sees Rivers Cuomo assert his love for dogs. "I want a dog / 'Cause he'd try to lick my face / And he would smile / When I get home to my place / I want a dog," he sings.
The SZNZ series—Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter, follows the band's 15th studio album, Van Weezer, which dropped in May 2021.
