SZA Named Billboard's 2023 Woman Of The Year

Grammy Award winner SZA has been officially named Billboard's 2023 Woman of the Year.

Hannah Karp, Billboard's Editorial Director said in a statement, "Since she burst onto the scene in 2017, SZA has defied genres and continually released raw, powerful songs which have landed her music on the Billboard charts."

The well-known R&B singer and songwriter's album SOS spent seven consecutive weeks at No.1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

The honor will be given at the Billboard Women in Music Awards set to take place on March 1 at the YouTube Theater at Hollywood Park in Los Angeles.

SZA joins a lineup of past years' honorees including Taylor Swift - in 2011 and 2014, Olivia Rodrigo in 2021, Cardi B in 2020, and Billie Eilish in 2019.

Billboard's annual award honors top female artists, executives and producers who have exceptionally contributed to the music industry in a particular year.
