Boygenius performed a surprise set on Tuesday, March 14, at the Austin Airport to kick off SXSW's music festivities.
The indie supergroup, comprised of Julien Baker, Lucy Dacus, and Phoebe Bridgers, surprised fans with an acoustic set of new material off their upcoming album, including singles "True Blue," "Emily I'm Sorry" and "Not Strong Enough" at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
The supergroup performed the surprise set in in front of an official SXSW 2023 banner and a white poster that read "boygenius."
Boygenius, formed in 2018, released their self-titled EP in October that year. The band is set to release their debut album, The Record, on March 31.
