Lucinda Williams recently released a new song, "New York Comeback," featuring Bruce Springsteen, and E Street Band's Patti Scialfa.
"New York Comeback" is the lead single from Williams' upcoming LP, titled Stories From a Rock n Roll Heart, which she said will arrive on June 30 via Highway 20/Thirty Tigers.
"Everyone wants to beat the rush / there's nothing left to see anymore," Williams sings. But don't blink, because you'll miss her comeback, she warns, with Springsteen echoing her in the chorus.
The Stories From a Rock n Roll Heart album features backing vocals from Angel Olsen, Margo Price, and the Replacements' Tommy Stinson.
Williams' last album Good Souls Better Angels arrived in April 2020.
