Stocks moved sharply higher early in the session and continue to see significant strength in afternoon trading on Friday. With the strong upward move, the major averages are regaining ground after trending lower in recent sessions.
Currently, the major averages are hovering firmly in positive territory. The Dow is up 423.63 points or 1.3 percent at 33,551.37, the Nasdaq is up 227.53 points or 1.9 percent at 12,193.93 and the S&P 500 is up 62.19 points or 1.5 percent at 4,123.41.
