Ozzy Osbourne has pulled out of Power Trip music festival, saying that he is not yet ready for it.
Ozzy said in a statement that his original plan was to return to the stage in the summer of 2024, and when the offer to do this show came in, he optimistically moved forward.
"Unfortunately, my body is telling me that I'm just not ready yet and I am much too proud to have the first show that I do in nearly five years be half-assed," Ozzy said.
Ozzy added that the band that will be replacing him on Power Trip will be announced shortly. He assured that the replacement are "personal friends of mine and I can promise that you will not be disappointed."
He continued, "Above all, I want to thank my fans, my band, and my crew for their unconditional loyalty and continual support."
The heavy metal music festival will be held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, from October 6 through 8.
Ozzy was scheduled to take the stage on the second night of the three-day music festival alongside AC/DC.
