Madonna says she feels "lucky to be alive" after a recent health scare that led to a several-day stay in ICU.
Madonna thanked her family and friends for their support after she was hospitalized with a serious bacterial infection last month.
"As a Mother you can really get caught up In the needs Of your children and the seemingly endless giving," Madonna said. "But when the chips were down my children really showed up for me."
"I saw a side to them I had never seen before. It made all the difference," she continued. "So did the love and support from my friends."
The Queen of Pop was set to embark on a seven-month world tour in the coming weeks but has had to postpone the trek by three months.
