Taylor Hawkins' son Shane Hawkins joined Chevy Metal for a couple of recent gigs and performed covers of Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and more.

Shane performed on shows on July 27th and 29th at Gold Pacific Studios in Newport Beach and The Canyon in Agoura Hills, respectively.

Former Skid Row singer Sebastian Bach, Poison drummer Rikki Rockett and Shane were among the guest musicians who performed with Chevy Metal.

The concert was a very special charity event benefiting the Rock N Roll Rescue dog shelter/adoption service.

Shane performed songs by Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Mötley Crüe, The Police, Thin Lizzy, and more over the two nights. Fan-filmed footage of him playing the Crüe's "Looks That Kill," Zeppelin's "Moby Dick," and Sabbath's "The Wizard" can be seen on YouTube.

Taylor Hawkins formed Chevy Metal in 2013 and would routinely perform with the outfit until his passing in March 2022.
