Meat Puppets have announced the release of a new live album and the reissue of their SST Records catalog.

The Meat Puppets classic SST catalog, spanning 1981 through 1993, has been remastered from its original format.

The SST Records Catalog will be reissued by Megaforce Records on 180-gram vinyl and CD, with bonus tracks originally featured on the 1999 Rykodisc versions.

As the first installment, the 1981 debut album "In a Car" and 1985's "Up on the Sun" will be reissued on October 6.

The Puppets' 1984 album Meat Puppets II, Mirage, Huevos and Monsters will follow in 2024.

"Our back catalog is an American treasure and should be in the Smithsonian," said Meat Puppets bassist and co-founder Cris Kirkwood. "Megaforce is doing a huge service to the planet to make sure our music continues to get into the hands of everyone who needs to have the coolest record collection on the block."

The rock band's upcoming live album, Camp Songs, was recorded during 1991-1995.

Meat Puppets shared a live version of "The Wayward Wind" from the album.
