BET has announced the nominees for the 18th annual BET Hip Hop Awards. 21 Savage and Cardi B lead this year's nominations with 12 nods each.
21 Savage's nominations include 'Best Collaboration,' 'Lyricist of the Year,' 'Hip Hop Album of the Year,' 'Hip Hop Artist of the Year,' 'Hustler of the Year,' 'Best Duo or Group,' twice for 'Best Hip Hop Video,' 'Sweet 16: Best Featured Verse' and 'Song of the Year.'
Cardi B's 12 nominations include 'Best Live Performer,' 'Lyricist of the Year,' 'Hip Hop Artist of the Year,' 'Hustler of the Year,' twice for 'Best Collaboration,' 'Best Hip Hop Video,' 'Sweet 16: Best Featured Verse' and 'Song of the Year.'
Drake follows with nine nominations. Burna Boy and DJ Khaled round out the top five with seven nods each. J. Cole scores six nods, while Coi Leray, GloRilla, and Jay-Z are tied with five nominations each.
BET Hip Hop Awards 2023, honoring the past year in Hip Hop music across 17 categories, will be held in Atlanta, Georgia, on October 3 and will premiere on October 10 at 9 PM ET/PT on BET.
