Aerosmith have postponed several of their farewell tour dates after frontman Steven Tyler sustained vocal cord damage.
Tyler said in a statement that he has received strict orders from doctors not to sing for a month.
"I sustained vocal cord damage during Saturday's show that led to subsequent bleeding," Tyler said. "We'll need to postpone a few dates so that we can come back and give you the performance you deserve."
The hard rock band promised to honor all previously purchased tickets for the rescheduled dates. Refunds will be available for those unable to attend. Fans with questions regarding refunds are asked to reach out to their point of purchase.
Aerosmith kicked off their final concert tour called "Peace Out: The Farewell Tour" in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on September 2. It was followed by two shows in Pittsburgh and Elmont.
Tyler sustained vocal cord injury during the band's concert in Elmont on Saturday.
The tour was scheduled to resume in Toronto on Tuesday.
Drummer Joey Kramer will not be a part of this tour as he has to "focus his full attention on his family and health."
