War are set to release a 50th Anniversary Collector's Edition of their 1973 best-selling album The World Is a Ghetto.

The 5-LP boxed set is available exclusively at participating independent music retailers on November 24.

Limited to 4,000 copies, The World Is A Ghetto: 50th Anniversary Collector's Edition was curated by War's founding members Jerry Goldstein, and Lonnie Jordan, and Jeremy Levine.

The deluxe edition introduces six unreleased bonus tracks recorded during the sessions for the album. It also includes the original album, newly remastered, as well as unreleased "the making of" recordings. The original album and bonus tracks are pressed on two gold-vinyl LPs, while "the making of" tracks are pressed on three black-vinyl LPs.

War recently shared a previously unreleased version of "War Is Coming" from the forthcoming set.

In the Collector's Edition liner notes, Goldstein and Jordan share insights into the "making of" recordings introduced in the set.

Meanwhile, War's live shows are scheduled for the fall.
