Green Day Earn Seventh No. 1 On Billboard's Rock & Alternative Airplay Chart

Green Day have earned their seventh leader on Billboard's Rock & Alternative Airplay Chart thanks to "The American Dream Is Killing Me" rising from No. 2 to No. 1 on the November 18-dated list.

The song has made it to the top of the list in its third week, registering a 10% surge in audience impressions to 9.5 million in the tracking week ended November 9, according to Luminate.

The song's rise to the top on Rock & Alternative Airplay is the quickest since Linkin Park's "Lost" debuted atop the February 25-dated ranking. It's Green Day's fastest since "Oh Love" launched at No. 1 in August 2012.

Green Day had last led Rock & Alternative Airplay with "Oh Yeah!" a two-week No. 1 in April 2020.

"The American Dream Is Killing Me" is the lead single from Green Day's upcoming 14th studio album Saviors, which is due January 19, 2024.
