Green Day have scored their 8th No. 1 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, with "The American Dream Is Killing Me" topping the tally.
"The American Dream Is Killing Me" rose from the 3rd spot to the No. 1 position on the chart dated November 25.
The track reigns in its fourth week on the list, making it the third song to reach No. 1 in four weeks or fewer in 2023 following Linkin Park's "Lost" in March and Foo Fighters' "Rescued" in May.
"The American Dream Is Killing Me" is the first No. 1 on Mainstream Rock Airplay for Green Day since "Oh Yeah!," which reigned for two weeks in April 2020.
"The American Dream Is Killing Me" is the lead single from Saviors, Green Day's 14th studio album, due out January 19, 2024. It's the band's first LP since 2020's Father of All Motherf****s, which debuted at No. 1 on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums chart.
