Jay-Z and D'Angelo released their new collaboration "I Want You Forever," a song from the soundtrack for Jeymes Samuel's biblical comedy-drama The Book of Clarence on Friday (January 12).

Samuel described the record as "nine minutes and 32 seconds of absolute soulful, biblical bliss."

A week before the release of the movie, Samuel gestured to the fact that the accompanying album would include a collaborative track between himself, D'Angelo and Jay-Z.

"I Want You Forever" features keys from James Poyser and drum frills from Andre "Dre" Harris.

The Book of Clarence stars LaKeith Stanfield in the titular role of Clarence, placing in him Jerusalem circa 33 AD. There, he crosses paths with Jesus Christ, but rather than being led toward a life devoted to the lord, he sets his sights on becoming a messiah himself.
