Adverum Biotechnologies Inc. (ADVM), a clinical-stage company developing a gene therapy for highly prevalent ocular diseases, has a clinical trial catalyst lined up for this week.
The company's lead gene therapy candidate is Ixoberogene soroparvovec (Ixo-vec, formerly referred to as ADVM-022, a one-time, intravitreal injection for patients with neovascular or wet age-related macular degeneration.
A phase II study of Ixo-vec for the treatment of wet age-related macular degeneration, dubbed LUNA, is underway.
