GlobalData Full-year Profit Before Tax, Revenue Rise

GlobalData Plc (DATA.L), a data analytics and consulting company, Monday reported profit before tax from continuing operations of 41.5 million pounds for the full year, higher than 38.4 million pounds in the previous year, primarily helped by growth in revenue.

Excluding special items, adjusted profit before tax increased to 73.6 million pounds form 61.4 million pounds last year.

Net profit was nearly flat at 30.8 million pounds or 3.8p per share versus 30.5 million pounds or 3.7p per share a year ago.

Adjusted profit was 55.1 million pounds or 6.7p per share, up from 48.8 million pounds or 5.9p per share in the previous year.

Revenue for the year grew 12 percent to to 273.1 million pounds from 243.2 million pounds in the previous year.

GlobalData has proposed a final dividend of 3.2 pence per share, to be paid on April 26 to shareholders of record on March 22. The proposed final dividend increases the total dividend for the year by 28% to 4.6 pence per share.
