What's Driving These Stocks Higher In After-hours?

The following are some of the stocks that moved up in after-hours trading on Thursday.

Better Therapeutics Inc. (BTTX) is terminating its employees and is exploring strategic alternatives, including a wind-down of the company. It has voluntarily requested a delisting of its securities and expects its securities to be delisted in the near term.

BTTX was up 22.57% at $0.04 in after-hours on Thursday.

Madrigal Pharmaceuticals Inc.'s (MDGL) Rezdiffra (resmetirom) has been granted accelerated approval by the FDA for use in conjunction with diet and exercise for the treatment of adults with noncirrhotic NASH with moderate to advanced liver fibrosis (consistent with stages F2 to F3 fibrosis. Rezdiffra becomes the first approved medication for NASH.

Major central banks continued to dominate the economic news flow this week too, led by the Federal Reserve, as they announced their latest policy decisions. The Federal Reserve policy session was in focus as it was the first to be led by the new chief Kevin Warsh. In Europe, central banks of the U.K. and Switzerland announced their rate decisions. In Asia, the Bank of Japan drew attention for its policy moves, while data out of China threw some light on the state of the economy.
