Will EnGene's EG-70 Make A Mark In Bladder Cancer Treatment?

enGene Holdings Inc. (ENGN), a clinical-stage genetic medicines company, has an upcoming clinical trial catalyst to keep an eye on in the coming months.

The company's lead product candidate is EG-70, a novel non-viral gene therapy being developed for BCG-unresponsive non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC).

In the United States, bladder cancer ranks as the fourth most frequently diagnosed solid malignancy among men and twelfth among women. If the tissue that lines the inner surface of the bladder is affected by cancer, it is known as non-muscle invasive bladder cancer.

Major central banks continued to dominate the economic news flow this week too, led by the Federal Reserve, as they announced their latest policy decisions. The Federal Reserve policy session was in focus as it was the first to be led by the new chief Kevin Warsh. In Europe, central banks of the U.K. and Switzerland announced their rate decisions. In Asia, the Bank of Japan drew attention for its policy moves, while data out of China threw some light on the state of the economy.
