Jack In The Box Inc. Q2 Profit Decreases, But Beats Estimates

Jack In The Box Inc. (JACK) announced a profit for second quarter that decreased from last year but beat the Street estimates.

The company's bottom line came in at $24.980 million, or $1.26 per share. This compares with $26.507 million, or $1.27 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Excluding items, Jack In The Box Inc. reported adjusted earnings of $28.922 million or $1.46 per share for the period.

Analysts on average had expected the company to earn $1.42 per share, according to figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company's revenue for the quarter fell 7.7% to $365.347 million from $395.744 million last year.
