Tristel Plc (TSTL.L), a maker of infection prevention products, said on Monday that it has appointed Matthew Sassone as Chief Executive Officer with effect from September 2.

He will replace Paul Swinney, the company's founder and CEO, who had announced his plans to retire in 2023.

Matt joins Tristel from Masimo Corp. (MASI), a medical technology company, where he is Senior Vice-President Marketing.

Earlier, he had joined the Board of cardiovascular monitoring company LiDCO Group Plc in June 2015, becoming CEO in August 2015.

LiDCO was acquired for 31 million pounds by Masimo in February 2021.
