Essential tremor, or ET, which is considered the most common movement disorder, is characterized by an abnormal and involuntary rhythmic shaking (tremor) that primarily affects the hands and arms, but tremors can also occur in the head, voice, and lower limbs. Due to this serious condition, individuals living with ET may face difficulties in performing daily activities such as eating, dressing, and personal hygiene, as well as challenges in social functioning.
Evaluating a new potential treatment for Essential Tremor is Jazz Pharmaceuticals plc (JAZZ) and the drug candidate in focus is Suvecaltamide, also known as JZP385.
