The Singapore stock market has moved higher in back-to-back sessions, collecting more than 25 points or 0.7 percent along the way. The Straits Times Index now sits just shy of the 33,90-point plateau and it's tipped to open in the green again on Monday.
The global forecast for the Asian markets is positive on optimism over the outlook for interest rates. The European and U.S. markets were up and the Asian bourses figure to open in similar fashion.

In other news, several countries released the preliminary data for first quarter economic growth. In the U.S., comments by Fed Chair Jerome Powell were also in focus as his term ends this month.
