Hill & Smith Plc (HILS.L), a provider of sustainable infrastructure products and services, said on Thursday that Rutger Helbing will join the Board as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.

With the appointment of the new CEO, the Board has reorganized executive roles and as a result, its Chief Operating Officer, Hooman Caman Javvi, has stepped down to pursue other opportunities. The Board has also clarified that currently, it is not intended to appoint a replacement to this role.

Alan Giddins, who has been Executive Chair since July 2022, will step back from his role and revert to his previous role of Non-Executive Chair, Chair of the Nomination Committee, and a member of the Remuneration Committee.

He will step down as Chair following the May 2026 Annual General Meeting.

Most recently, Rutger was CEO of Tyman PLC, a provider of engineered components to the construction industry. Earlier, he was CEO of Devro Plc.

Giddins has been on the Board for almost seven years, having joined as a Non-Executive in October 2017.
