Neumora Therapeutics Inc. (NMRA) is at a crucial point this quarter as its lead drug candidate, Navacaprant, nears an important development milestone.
Navacaprant, also known as NMRA-140, is a highly selective, novel, once-daily kappa opioid receptor (KOR) antagonist being developed as a potential monotherapy treatment for Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) and other neuropsychiatric disorders.
A registrational phase III program, which is designed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Navacaprant monotherapy for the treatment of MDD, dubbed KOASTAL, is ongoing. The phase III KOASTAL program comprises of three replicate, placebo-controlled, double-blind studies in adult patients with MDD, known as KOASTAL-1, KOASTAL-2, and KOASTAL-3.

The Federal Reserve policy session was in focus as it was the first to be led by the new chief Kevin Warsh. In Europe, central banks of the U.K. and Switzerland announced their rate decisions.
