Lil Durk has announce his new highly-anticipated ninth studio album, Deep Thoughts, set to release on October 18th via Alamo Records.
The Chicago rapper made the surprise announcement on Instagram, revealing the project's title, release date and cover art.
"Deep thoughts 10/18 for the people for the trenches smurk back," he wrote alongside the artwork, which depicts Durk floating above the ocean.
The rapper also dropped a new track along with its video, "Monitoring Me," from the album as a preview.
"He said something in public, I got in his DMs and made him apologize," he raps in the opening lines.
Directed by Jerry Production, the video matches the track's high-octane energy. Durk takes over a gas station and performs from on top of a roof.
