Mary J. Blige's new single "Breathing," featuring Fabolous, has reached No. 1 on Billboard's Adult R&B Airplay Chart dated October 26.
The lead single from her upcoming album, Gratitude, "Breathing" is the most-played song on U.S. monitored adult R&B radio stations in the tracking week ending on October 17, according to Luminate.
It marks Blige's ninth Adult R&B Airplay chart topper.
The last was "Still Believe in Love," featuring Vado, which topped the list in December 2023.
With this, the 53 year-old R&B icon equals Maxwell, Tank and Usher's record for having the fourth-most No. 1 songs among all artists in the Adult R&B Airplay chart's history.
"Breathing" is ranked No. 13 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, and No. 24 on the airplay, streaming and sales-based Hot R&B Songs chart.
Blige's fifteenth studio album, Gratitude, is scheduled for release in January.
The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame earlier this month.
