SGL Carbon SE (SGLFF), a manufacturer of carbon-based products, Thursday reported results before income taxes of 5.4 million euros for the third quarter, lower than 18.6 million euros in the same quarter a year ago, mainly impacted by decrease in sales.
Net results decreased to 3.4 million euros or 0.03 euros per share from 15.3 million euros or 0.12 euros per share last year.
Operating profit was 12.4 million euros, down from 27.5 million euros a year ago.
Sales revenue dropped 6.6 percent to 243.9 million euros from 261.2 million euros in the previous year.
For fiscal 2024, SGL Carbon expects sales to be relatively flat with last year's 1.089 billion euros. Adjusted EBITDA, or adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization is expected between 160 million euros and 170 million euros. This compares with 168.4 million euros reported last year.
