Elton John has revealed that he is blind in his right eye due to an infection. The 77-year-old music icon contracted the eye infection over the summer.
John provided more details on the latest health problem that he has faced over the course of his career in a recent interview on ABC's "Good Morning America."
"I unfortunately lost my eyesight in my right eye in July because I had an infection in the South of France, and it's been four months now since I haven't been able to see," he said. "My left eye is not the greatest."
"I can do something like this, but going into the studio and recording, I don't know. Because I can't see a lyric for start," Elton continued. "It kind of floored me, and I can't see anything. I can't read anything, I can't watch anything."
"Never Too Late," John's collaboration with Brandi Carlile, will feature in the upcoming documentary Elton John: Never Too Late, which is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on December 13.
