Pulp announced that they have signed a record deal with Rough Trade Records.

"Rough Trade have managed Pulp for over 30 years so it feels great to be finally on the label. We did it," the legendary Britpop band said in a statement posted on social media.

After going on hiatus for a second time, the band reunited for a series of concerts in England and Ireland in 2023.

The shows were followed by the band's first North American tour in more than a decade in 2024 in honor of the Pulp's late bassist Steve Mackey, who died in March 2023.

Pulp played a number of new songs live during their shows this decade, but they did not not make any remarks about new recordings.

Pulp's current lineup consists of Jarvis Cocker, the founder, frontman, lyricist and only consistent member of the band; Candida Doyle (keyboards); Nick Banks (drums, percussion); and Mark Webber (guitar, keyboards).
