Shares of Personalis Inc. (PSNL), which soared more than 47% yesterday, following agreements with long-time collaborators Merck (MRK) and Moderna Inc. (MRNA), are up another 2% today in premarket trading.
Merck has agreed to purchase $50 million of Personalis' common stock in a private placement for $3.56 per share, which was the last reported closing price of Personalis' common stock as reported on the Nasdaq Global Market on December 18, 2024.

The Federal Reserve policy session was in focus as it was the first to be led by the new chief Kevin Warsh. In Europe, central banks of the U.K. and Switzerland announced their rate decisions. In Asia, the Bank of Japan drew attention for its policy moves, while data out of China threw some light on the state of the economy.
