argenx SE (ARGX) Monday reported preliminary product sales of $737 million for the fourth quarter, sigificantly higher than $374 million in the same quarter a year ago.
For the full year, preliminary product sales were $2.2 billion. This compares with last year's $1.2 billion.
The biopharmaceutical company is investigating efgartigimod for the treatment of several severe autoimmune diseases. Efgartigimod is marketed as VYVGART and VYVGART Hytrulo for the treatment of generalized myasthenia gravis.
The company also announced its strategic priorities including reaching out to more patients by getting additional regulatory approvals in Myasthenia Gravis (MG), chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy (CIDP), and immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP), launch VYVGART SC as a pre-filled syringe, among others. A decision from the regulator is expected on the approval of VYVGART pre-filled syringe in April this year.
