KOSPI May Reclaim The 2,500-Point Level

The South Korea stock market on Tuesday snapped the two-day slide n which it had stumbled more than 80 points or 3.1 percent. The KOSPI now rests just above the 2,480-point plateau and it may see additional support on Wednesday.

The global forecast for the Asian markets is upbeat on easing concerns of a trade war. The European markets were mixed and the U.S. bourses were up and the Asian markets figure to split the difference.

The European Central Bank became the first major central bank to move in response to the rising inflationary pressures in the backdrop of the conflict in the Middle East. In North America, the U.S. inflation and trade data as well as Canada’s central bank decision gained attention. The Chinese trade data was the main news in Asia.
