Mutares SE & Co. KGaA (MUX.F), an equity investor, said on Wednesday that it hasinked a deal to buy NBHX Trim Europe from Ningbo Lawrence Automotive Interiors Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Ningbo Huaxiang Electronic Co., Ltd., a Chinese automotive components maker.
The transaction, to be closed in the second quarter of 2025, is expected to boost Mutares' Automotive & Mobility segment and complement the Matikon Group within Amaneos as an add-on acquisition.
Johannes Laumann, CIO of Mutares, said: "With the acquisition of NBHX Trim Europe, we are strengthening our Automotive & Mobility segment in the area of interiors. We see significant synergies with Matikon and expect to be able to exploit significant synergy potential to increase operational performance."
NBHX Trim Europe is a German supplier of decorative surfaces for premium automotive interiors. For 2024, the company had generated revenue of almost 200 million euros.
