Virpax Pharmaceuticals Inc. (VRPX) announced that its partner, Nanomerics, has successfully completed a Phase I human study using the Molecular Envelope Technology (MET), with no moderate to severe adverse events reported. Virpax had licensed Nanomerics' MET under an agreement signed last year. The company is utilizing Nanomerics' MET in its investigational products - Envelta (NES100) for managing both acute and chronic pain, including pain related to cancer, and in NobrXiol, which aims to deliver pharmaceutical-grade cannabidiol (CBD) nasally for treating rare pediatric epilepsy.

The Federal Reserve policy session was in focus as it was the first to be led by the new chief Kevin Warsh. In Europe, central banks of the U.K. and Switzerland announced their rate decisions. In Asia, the Bank of Japan drew attention for its policy moves, while data out of China threw some light on the state of the economy.
