The following were some of the top movers in after-hours trading on Monday.

Protagenic Therapeutics Inc. (PTIX) soared over 80% to $0.50 in after-hours trading on Monday on no specific news. The company is scheduled to hold a special meeting of its stockholders on April 18, 2025, at 10 a.m., Eastern time.

Biodesix, Inc. (BDSX), a diagnostic solutions company, has announced a narrower loss and higher revenue for both the fourth quarter and full year of 2024, along with its revenue forecast for 2025. The net loss for the fourth quarter of 2024, was $8.25 million or $0.06 per share as revenue increased to $20.4 million. This compared with a net loss of $9.14 million or $0.10 per share and revenue of $14.7 million in the year-ago quarter. The company anticipates generating between $92 million and $95 million in total revenue in 2025, a significant increase from the $71.3 million reported in 2024.

Major central banks continued to dominate the economic news flow this week too, led by the Federal Reserve, as they announced their latest policy decisions. The Federal Reserve policy session was in focus as it was the first to be led by the new chief Kevin Warsh. In Europe, central banks of the U.K. and Switzerland announced their rate decisions. In Asia, the Bank of Japan drew attention for its policy moves, while data out of China threw some light on the state of the economy.
