This collaboration aims to enhance biocatalyst efficiency and expand their industrial applications.
Enzyme immobilization involves attaching enzymes to functionalized silicas, improving stability, reusability, and cost-effectiveness compared to traditional liquid-based systems. Ecovyst brings expertise in silica-based support materials, while Enzyme Supplies contributes enzyme innovation across sectors like biofuels, agriculture, food processing, brewing, and baking.
The partnership focuses on developing novel biocatalyst solutions that improve process efficiency and sustainability. By combining Ecovyst's material science expertise with Enzyme Supplies' enzyme knowledge, the companies aim to accelerate industrial adoption of enzyme immobilization technology, offering enhanced performance and economic benefits across various industries.
ECVT is currently trading at $6.32 or 0.71% lower on the NYSE.
