Lantronix Inc. (LTRX) Thursday has introduced the Open-Q 8550CS System-on-Module - SOM, powered by Qualcomm's Dragonwing QCS8550 processor. Designed for low-power AI and ML applications at the Edge, it supports advanced video collaboration, AI processing, and industrial automation.

With octa-core computing, Adreno A740 GPU, Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, and dedicated AI acceleration, the module enhances smart cameras, robotics, and Edge AI devices across industries like manufacturing, logistics, and retail.

The Open-Q 8550 Development Kit streamlines evaluation and product development with an open-frame carrier board and accessory suite. Lantronix Engineering Services offers turnkey support for AI, machine learning, and RF design, accelerating go-to-market timelines. Additionally, TAA and NDAA compliance ensures longevity and quality control.

Thursday, LTRX closed at $2.59, down 0.77%, and is currently trading at $2.5832 in after-hours trading, down 0.26% on the Nasdaq Capital Market.
