Moldova Producer Price Inflation Rises To 4.7%

Moldova's producer prices increased for the third straight month in March and at an accelerated pace, figures from the National Bureau of Statistics of the Republic of Moldova showed on Friday.

Industrial producer prices rose 4.7  percent year-on-year in March, faster than the 3.4 percent gain in February.

Among sectors, prices in the energy segment alone surged by 35.0 percent annually in March, and those in the extractive industry climbed by 11.2 percent. Prices in the manufacturing sector logged an increase of 2.3 percent.

On a monthly basis, producer prices moved up 0.6 percent in March.
