Sectra AB Q2 Profit Rises 69%; Net Sales Up

Sectra AB (SECT_B.ST) Friday said that its profit climbed 69 percent in the second quarter, helped by higher net sales and increased number of bookings. Net sales also rose 13 percent from the previous-year period.

The medical imaging and cybersecurity company reported second-quarter profit of 148.4 million Swedish Kroner or 0.77 Kroner per share, higher than 87.8 million Kroner or 0.46 Kroner per share in the same period last year.

During the three-month period, net sales climbed 12.9 percent to 850.6 million Kroner from 753.5 million Kroner in the year-ago quarter.

According to Sectra AB, operating profit came in at 188.6 million Kroner in the third quarter, up 72.1 percent from 109.6 million Kroner in the prior year quarter.
Recurring revenue amounted to 587.9 million Kroner, up 21.3 percent from 484.7 million Kroner in the corresponding quarter last year. Based on unadjusted exchange rates, the increase was 28.9 percent.

On the Stockholm Exchange, SECT_B.ST is up 1.10 percent on Friday's trading at 275.00 Swedish Kroner.
