MetaVia Releases Additional Phase I Data Of DA-1726 In Obesity

MetaVia Inc. (MTVA), a clinical-stage biotechnology company, has shared an encouraging update related to its investigational obesity drug DA-1726.

DA-1726 is a novel oxyntomodulin (OXM) analogue functioning as a GLP1R/GCGR dual agonist for the treatment of obesity and Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatohepatitis (MASH) that is to be administered once weekly subcutaneously.

Today, the company announced additional positive top-line results from the multiple ascending dose (MAD) Part 2 of its Phase 1 clinical trial of DA-1726.

Major central banks continued to dominate the economic news flow this week too, led by the Federal Reserve, as they announced their latest policy decisions. The Federal Reserve policy session was in focus as it was the first to be led by the new chief Kevin Warsh. In Europe, central banks of the U.K. and Switzerland announced their rate decisions. In Asia, the Bank of Japan drew attention for its policy moves, while data out of China threw some light on the state of the economy.
