Shares of Controladora Vuela Compania de Aviacion, S.A.B. de C.V. (VLRS) are falling around 10 percent during Monday morning trading following the announcement of first quarter results, where the company turned to loss of $51 million compared with earnings of $33 million last year.
The company's stock is currently trading at $4.18, down 10.68 percent or $0.51 on the New York Stock Exchange. It has traded in the range of $4.12 to $9.00 in the last one year.
Volaris also reported a decline in operating revenues to $678 million from $768 millio in the previous year.
