THG Plc Pre-tax Loss Widens

THG PLC (THG.L) Tuesday reported preliminary loss before tax from continuing operations of 202.4 million pounds for fiscal 2024, higher than 92.3 million pounds in the previous year, primarily due to decrease in revneue.

Operating loss widened to 147.9 million pounds from 39.2 million pounds loss last year.

Loss from continuing operations increased to 180.6 million pounds or 0.13 pounds per share from 108 million pounds or 0.08 pounds per share loss a year ago.

Net loss was 326.1 million pounds or 0.24 pounds per share, up from 248.4 million pounds or 0.19 pounds per share loss in the prior year.

Revenue from continuing operations for year dropped 6.8% to 1.751 billion pounds from 1.879 billion pounds a year ago, reflecting decline in THG Nutrition revenue of 11.9% .

Post-demerger of the group's technology division, THG Ingenuity, revenue decreased 0.4% to 1.688 billion pounds. Pre-demerger revenue fell to 1.880 billion pounds from 1.897 billion pounds last year.

For the first quarter, continuing revenue decreased 7% to 371.4 million pounds.

For fiscal 2025, the company expects revenue to grow in the mid-single digit range.
