Machine Gun Kelly recently released a cover version of Goo Goo Dolls hit track, "Iris," featuring Julia Wolf.

"Iris," written for the soundtrack of the 1998 film City of Angels, was included on the sixth Goo Goo Dolls album, Dizzy Up the Girl. It was released as a single on April 1, 1998. No character named Iris appears in the film, and the song title is not heard in the lyrics.

"Iris" has been RIAA-certified Diamond for sales of more than 10 million units and has racked up more than 2 billion streams on Spotify alone.

The reimagined track pays homage to the original version through live instrumentation but includes MGK's rawness.

The song follows the March release of "Your Name Forever," a heartfelt tribute to MGK's fallen friend Dingo, who passed away.
